Applying for a place

Starting school in foundation stage

Children start in our Reception classes (foundation stage) in the September following their fourth birthday.

Online applications are made via Lincolnshire County Council’s School Admissions using the Parent Portal. You can also contact the Admissions team on 01522 782030 or email schooladmissions@lincolnshire.gov.uk.

In-year applications

We admit children between the ages of 4-11. In-year applications can be made at any time. If you would like to apply for a place during the school year in any year group, you will need to do so through the Lincolnshire School Admissions team.

Admissions policies and procedures

For more information on admissions in our school, please see our admissions policies on the Policies page of this website. The Admissions Policy is reviewed by Anthem Schools Trust on an annual basis.

Appealing for a place at our school

There is a right of appeal to an Independent Appeals Panel for unsuccessful applicants relating to admissions at age 5 (statutory school age) or above. Appeals should be made by completing the appeals form found at the bottom of this page and returned to Benjamin Adlard Primary School, within twenty (20) school days of the date of refusal, or by emailing the completed form to enquiries@benjaminadlard.anthemtrust.uk

Please be aware that the regulations under Section I of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 limit the size of an infant class (a class in which the majority of children will reach the age of 5, 6 or 7 during the school year) to 30 pupils per class teacher. Admissions over this limit are only permitted in very limited circumstances.

Appealing a school place is different from applying for a school place.

You can only appeal for a place at the schools you listed on your application form.
